Guests generally appreciate the friendly, accommodating staff and the remodeled rooms, though many complain about persistent noise from the nearby highway. The hotel offers good value for the price with straightforward breakfast options.
Horrible experience. It was pouring rain outside with flooding in several locations. I arrived at the hotel and was informed check in was not for another 2 hours. I inquired if it was an availability issue or a policy issue and was told it was due to policy. The lack of attempt at resolution was astounding but that’s okay because I took my dollars right down the street to a much better location. Availability is one thing, but not doing an early check in during a storm just “because” is not a winning stance. Good luck
Laleeka Murray at the Best Western in Pleasanton, CA made our stay genuinely better from start to finish. The moment we walked in to check in, she greeted us with a warm, sincere smile and a welcoming energy that instantly put us at ease. You can tell she truly enjoys helping people—her loving disposition and positive attitude felt natural, not forced, and it set the tone for our entire stay. What impressed me even more was seeing that same brightness a few days later when we checked out early in the morning. Even at that hour, Laleeka was cheerful, attentive, and kind, making the whole process smooth and pleasant. She has a rare way of making guests feel seen and cared for. If you’re staying at this hotel, I hope you get the chance to interact with her—she’s a standout and a big reason we’d happily return.
Let's just say that when I checked in they offered me the "quiet room." Hwy noise is a guarantee and the traditional thin walls of any hotel is going to lend to the added noise of any passerby and neighbors that are not quite aware that they aren't the only ones in the hotel. The bedside ear plugs that greeted me when I got to my room let me know that this might indeed be the quiet room, and that they pretty much just give up on dealing with the noise. Noise aside, I was disappointed to still see the tiny bottles in the room at a best western plus. I cant stand those things and much prefer the hotelsnwith the mounted dispensers.
I've always had good to great stays at Best Western hotels. I've used BW hotels so much I'm a Diamond Member. The BW Pleasanton stay this last weekend was great until we started driving home. Wow, turned out the BED BUGS had a feast on my body. The swelling and itches didn't start until many hours later checkout day. So, I didn't notice until we got home. I called the next day to report the problem to Dillon at the hotel. He said they'd have the Cleaning Staff "look into it". Never heard anything more. Sent notice to BW Customer Service. Again never heard more about my notice. Oh yes, also surprised not to be asked about refunding my points!
I booked this hotel because Booking.com showed that guests had given it a rating of 8.0. Thats very deceiving. The place isn't bad for a glorified 2 star hotel but Booking.com has it listed as 3 star. No way is this a 3 star hotel. The hotel was clean, staff was great, very safe, but should be listed as 2 star
They should not charge like a hotel since it's a motel standard place. Carpets are old and stinky. Faucets are leaky. A/C is so primitive and clunky they sound like an old Ford car. Towel supply is half what you get in a hotel. Door and window are so lose that road traffic noice won't let you take a peaceful sleep. TV remote are like children toys. Main door sometimes won't open even after scanner shows green light. You may have to keep banging at door to open. NOT quite at all. . Next to highway traffic.
I want to give a big thank you to general manager Roshen and Scott. I left belongings at hotel. They are super nice and offer solutions . I finally get my belonging back. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much .
This hotel was very clean, nicely decorated, and staff was helpful. HOWEVER; A male employee, maybe a maintenance man lightly tapped on my door and opened it at 9:30 in the morning , I was half dressed. He tried to walk in before I could even get to the door. I pushed the door closed as he said " oh I'm sorry" and locked the security latch. I was so scared after that, I checked out early and told the FD staff, who didn't seem to be concerned after I told him what had happened and that it was NOT OK!
The room had a weird smell, we almost switched rooms because it was bad. I sprayed some deodorant since it was just one night. Price was good and location was great. The lady that prepares the breakfast was so nice and attentive, please tip her. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub nice at night. I like that there is a Dennys literally next door
