The Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton is currently undergoing renovations, which have mixed reviews regarding noise and inconvenience. Guests consistently praise the friendly and helpful staff, particularly Sonia and Karla, and highlight the hotel's convenient location near BART and restaurants. However, issues with construction, outdated amenities, and fluctuating room temperatures have been reported.
The staff is always very professional and friendly, I especially enjoy the on-site restaurant and lounge. The recent renovations make the hotel very modern, this will always be my place to stay when traveling to the Bay Area. Karla always makes my stay more enjoyable and entertaining.
This is a great place to stay with very reasonable room and service by the team. Sonia received and provided me with check-in and very patience to give me the best information to make my stay comfortable. Paul was very engaging and we had a great chat during my checkout. The location was walking distance to the BART. Any staff I met was very helpful and try their best to make my stay comfortable. My suggestion is to consider noise minimization option for the rooms near to the highway.
Absolutely loved this place! I’m a singer with a residency nearby, so this will definitely be my go-to stay from now on. The service was amazing, and the rooms were spotless, down to the cutest little details, like a bow on the toilet paper. The location is also perfect, close to lots of stores and restaurants. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates, and at first I was told changes weren’t possible and that canceling would mean paying the full amount with no refund. Thankfully, I was transferred to the front desk, and Sonia was incredibly helpful. She quickly changed my dates and accommodated me without any hassle. When I arrived, Maria was at the front desk as well, and she was just as kind and welcoming. Highly recommend, great service, great location, and wonderful staff!
Conveniently located for a quick getaway from the chaos. Check in was easy and quick. My room was located in the perfect spot and check out was a breeze. Easy to travel to multiple eateries in the area with a variety of foods to choose from. The only hiccup was hearing all of the noise from the room next to me and when people were really loud walking down the hallway. Regardless of that I will go back for a quick getaway.
So the rooms got very cold, and I noticed the outdoor doors had been propped open on several occasions... the halls were freezing.. BUT, the hotel was great, the desk staff awesome and I can't say enough about Karla and Junior.... the BOMB!! So great l, nice , helpful. All around wonderful. The morning restaurant crew did a great job as well.... I only got Togo so no real interaction... Great place... hopefully next time I come back it will be warmer. ? The food morning and nite was very tasty.
Refreshed rooms has given a new vitality to this hotel, and not just cosmetically: redone shower, bed and hardware makes for a pleasant room. Why I'll come back was the high level of service at all levels which must be a management mandate and it shows. The small details of room placements and toilet paper folded into bows. Front desk assertiveness and restaurant hospitality really shows. Gracious evening server Karla help me and kept an fun atmosphere for all
The check-in process was very easy and smooth, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room was nice, clean, and well-maintained, which we really appreciated. We upgraded to a room with two twin beds, but the downside was that the air conditioner was positioned just a foot away from one of the beds. The airflow hit directly towards the head of the bed, which made it uncomfortable and gave me a headache. I had to use the ironing board to block and redirect the air, which helped a bit. It would definitely be better if the AC unit was placed differently. Breakfast isn’t included and comes at an extra cost, which would’ve been nice to have included in the rate. On the plus side, the location is great — it's close to many restaurants and just a 10-minute walk to the subway, which made getting around super convenient.
Room was ok, though there was no laundry bag, blow dryer, or paper/pen. Bathroom was very small. When inquired about laundry bag and blow dryer was told someone would bring up to room. 2 hours go by and nothing. Called desk to be told they don’t have laundry bags and I would have to come get the blow dryer. Had put do not disturb sign on door so that I could pack up and get ready in peace, but housekeeping still knocked and right away entered. Don’t even wait for me to answer door. TV remote was hit and miss on working. Over not terrible but for a Holiday Inn, you expect more and this was so so. Close to freeway, but beware, there is construction next door.
The hotel is currently being renovated. Most of the building is covered with construction materials. Their hallways and elevators are not well lit. There is a coin operated washer and dryer on site. Military guests were seen on the premises. The front desk kindly issued a refund for the inconvenience.
I am beyond pissed. I chose this hotel because it has an indoor pool and hot tub. We go to enjoy it and it says pool is closed. Went to ask about hot tub and it too is closed. No mention of it on the website when we booked it. Oh and the pool on their website looks NOTHING like the actual pool. Total misrepresentation! Be aware, waters are Costco water, 16.9 oz. and they charge $2.00! At other Holiday Inn Express locations, water is free for Elite members. There is barely any parking. Most spots are for compacts. We could not leave for dinner because we would lose our spot that our truck actually fits in. There are only about 20 parking spots for a hotel that has over 200 rooms. I cannot recommend this one.
