This La Quinta Inn & Suites offers a strong value proposition with highly rated complimentary breakfast and a convenient Dublin location, though recent reviews highlight severe deficiencies in staff professionalism and management responsiveness.
The hotel is not bad. The problem is that they have a poor customer assistant, and they have a ton of electrical problems. I had a wakeup fire alarm (false, of course), and then when I asked them for some kind of refund, they told me that it's something normal in their hotel, so they didn't give me anything. The problem is that when I was having breakfast, a second fire alarm went on. If you want to "sleep" in a hotel where you don't know at what time are you going to sleep because of the risk of getting a fire alarm, then book with them. If not, make sure you run away as fast as you can from them. Worst experience in an hotel regarding a fire alarm. Never staying again.
Great location, service, and probably one of the best included breakfast buffets I've had across 100s (possibly 1000s) of hotel stays in the last few decades. My gripe is more of how La Quinta manages the check in / check out process at this location. You're pressed the day of travel to do an "online" check in, and check out, which saves you no real time at the front desk. It's just their chance to push you to buy "extras" and feels like a very scammy effort. They already have all your contact and payment info from the initial booking, but you're still expected to click through "do you want to pay $5 for an extra pillow?" screens on your own time. Without that nonsense, they would very easily be a 5 star location and top tier.
The staff were great. The elevator is very slow, and the stairwell smelled absolutely horrible. Breakfast was good, though could use some variety over the week. Very aesthetically pleasing designs inside. The bar soap was low quality. The tap water is awful.
Good location. Good Hotel. Nice room. But if I have one complaint, It's the Front Desk. I travel for 11 night trips for work. Only 1 employee the entire 24 times I left our arrived back to the hotel greeted me. Most of the time, the employee was sitting in the back room behind the front desk sitting at a table playing on their phones. A Caucasian Brunette female greeted me 3 X. I told her, she's the friendliest of all and Thank You. Breakfast has everything you need or want for the most part. There's a good size dining area if you want to sit out there. I always take my food to my room. The bed was comfortable. I like softer beds. I'd call this Plush. I slept well. Overall, I give this hotel 4/5 starts cause I like to be acknowledged coming out going. Afterall, this is the Hospitality business, right? I travel over 200 days yearly staying at around 20 hotels.
This was my first stay in this hotel, a last minute reservation for Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel still managed to get me an accessible room. Everyone was kind and responsive and the room was much better than expected. The hotel offers free daily breakfast with several different kinds of juice, waffle, cereals, yogurt, eggs and potatoes and fresh uncut fruits. I definitely will stay again, but without turning on the fan. The room fan was what delivered cigarette odor to my room even though the hotel is supposed to be “non-smoking.” My room was clean and comfortable and also included a mini fridge and microwave.
It is our second time staying in this location and we absolutely love it! The room and amenities especially the Continental breakfast were great. The staff were courteous especially the housekeepers were very accommodating. Definitely will be back and able to recommend it to our family members and friends.
Great all around value, cleanliness, beds comfortable, good location, pleasant and helpful staff, includes a welcome snack/drink bag- love the popcorn! The only thing we would change is the eggs in the buffet & the veggie sausage please! Otherwise the breakfast was a good variety and a lot of choices! Will stay here again. ?
The hotel is very nice — the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast offers plenty of great options. However, the front desk service needs improvement. The lady I spoke with over the phone in the morning confirmed our early check-in request. But when we arrived around 1 PM, the lady with curly hair at the front desk was very unwelcoming and refused to honor what was told to us, insisting that we pay the early check-in fee. We ended up having to come back later in the afternoon. Then, when we checked in around 4 PM, the gentleman at the front desk was also not very pleasant — he rolled his eyes at my friend when my friend asked him to repeat what he said because he was speaking too fast and not clearly. Overall, I really want to give this hotel 5 stars because it’s beautiful and the rooms are excellent, but the front desk staff need to be more welcoming and improve their customer service.
I didn’t book this hotel as a last minute deal but was given the worst room experience in my life. The hotel has plenty of rooms and the front receptionist decided to give me the very further room from the elevator. As we walk on the hallway we could already smell the smoke, once inside the room the smell got so strong that it was like a true smoking room that the smell was on the carpet, the sofa, the other furniture and the walls. I went downstairs to ask the receptionist to switch us to a true non-smoking room which she refused and claimed all rooms were booked and they are non-smoking building. I went back to the room and they sent a maintenance crew to spray the room with a small bottle of liquid for a three-minute effect. We stayed there for another 10 minutes and I just couldn’t breathe any more. Since the hotel refused to give us another room, we ended up booking another room at a different hotel nearby and everything there were for a normal non-smoking room and we had the best night sleep there after a long day. I wish the hotel didn’t treat us so badly that I swear I would never go there again.
I will say this first sleep is a necessity not a privilege and the way they handle the situation was absolutely ridiculous. This is one of theost annoying places I've stayed. I came here for work and they have people partying past midnight and refused to do anything about it. When I asked the next day to move rooms the lady was nice and said she wouldn't be able to until later that day but by the time I got off work there was someone else and he said we'll let's just see what happens tonight. Also breakfast is disgusting other than the fresh fruit and yogurt. They don't serve meat they serve veggie processed patties. I don't recommend staying here.
