Aloft Dublin-Pleasanton receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location, modern atmosphere, and friendly staff, particularly Romika. However, recurring concerns emerge regarding inconsistent room cleanliness, unresponsive front desk staff, and issues with room amenities like malfunctioning TVs, shower curtains causing leaks, and uncomfortable beds. Recent reviews highlight problematic interactions with staff and persistent maintenance issues, detracting from the overall experience.
Small and depressing rooms, The actual rooms are not like what you see in the website pictures. Be aware that there's no closet in the room, no microwave, no towel hanging place by the sink you have to leave your face towel on top of the wet sink. I asked for upgrade they sid i no but they gave me an accessible room which was slightly bigger but what a scandalous shower room with curtain that all the sprays of water enter the bathroom floor. The front desk gave me a coupon for free breakfast for inconvenience which I went the next day to get it The there was a lady the next day and she was not helpful at all. And she said, I have to choose from the menu then feel up a form then give to her, I was unfamiliar she was not helpful, and I given gave up the coupon to someone else. I just left.
Stayed here for the past few years, but after this experience I will not be returning. Housekeeping repeatedly failed to clean my room even without a “Do Not Disturb” sign, and the TV in my room didn’t work. The front desk lady was extremely rude and told me to leave the hotel if I had so many complaints. She refused to give her name, but once I said I would report the issue, she offered me 10,000 points not to complain. Management seriously needs to review the cameras and address the customer service problems at this property. Very disappointing experience for a Marriott hotel.
Frequent solo traveler for work. This hotel is my new favorite. Great location; safe area. Walkable to food and things. The best feature is Miss Romika at check-in. The nicest; friendliest and most thoughtful lady. She is a large part of my return to stay here. Thankful to see her familiar face at check-in. She is worth her weight in gold and deserves a bonus or raise for her dedication and work. I will always stay at this hotel for work and any other trips I have to this area.
I've stayed at this location 3 times and it never disappoints! The rooms are clean and comfy, the shopping center is just down the street, the service (thanks Romika?) is always great, and the atmosphere is relaxing. :)
I stayed here one night for work. Room is fine everything was ok except they expect you to be silent in your room the neighbors mad a room complaint and all we did was have the tv on till about midnight. This lady Karen called and threatened to kick us out if she had any more complaints. I was here for work woke up at 6:00 am and than she called again threatening. I have stayed at this hotel in numerous states first time I had an issue. I went to check before I left at 6:39 she was so rude I never write reviews I asked for the manager she said take a seat they will be here at 8:30. Her name fits if you want a stay where you are supposed to be silent the entire time stay here if not I don’t recommend! ?
Had an amazing stay at this Aloft for a number of nights here. Rooms were cool, nice square studio layouts. Gym was impressive for a smaller hotel, treadmills, free weights and a giant Smith machine with a bunch of stuff. The staff were incredible, special shout out to Jeanne R., for taking care of us so well. I remember going to bed at like 11ish, saying goodnight to Jeanne at the front desk. I get up to trade with the markets at six ish and she's still at the front desk when I went to get fresh coffee. Holy cow! She made our stay incredible pleasant and easy. The lobby is nice and quiet in the mornings to work, spent many hours with my dog like that. The free coffee 24/7 is not bad too. Slight issues...include the residential complex behind the hotel...there are some freaking psycho drivers and I almost got run over on the straightaway next to the backup generator. Not sure if anything can be done about that realistically. What else..the ethnic smells from the neighboring businesses are not fantastic...at all. Nor the 20-30 ethnic kids who show up to steal snacks every weekday afternoon. But man, a great spot in the Bay Area, two Costco's. Country Waffles nearby. Some of the best dim sum is here too with Mayflower (RIGHT OUTSIDE, YAY) and Koi Palace two blocks away. If you're into golf, Bridges is nearby with a beautiful course that's hard as hell. Outlets nearby.
Not a bad stay. But seriously, how does the kitchen not have salads and the bar staff not know? I wound up paying for a beer I didn't get to drink because after it was poured, and I had ordered, I was told there was no salad to be had. I really don't like to sound like a diva or present a picture of being entitled, however this was beyond what I find acceptable. The staff was attentive, but communication seems to be a real issue. I wanted a salad. I ordered a beer and a salad. After a drink or two of my beer the server comes back to tell me they don't have salad. Now I have to go back to my room, get my coat, to somewhere else to get something basic, and pay for a beer I did not drink. Going to think twice before staying here again.
This is one of my favorite hotels in the area. The amenities are standard, beds are comfy, rooms are clean, but the staff is exceptional! Idk how they do it, but everyone that works here is just the best. They’re kind, and attentive, and friendly. Also, they have great coffee in the lobby!
We stayed here for a family visit, and Romika couldn’t have been more accommodating. She went above and beyond, she was so sweet and generous. From the staff in the morning to the evening, went out of their way to ensure we were good. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. It’s rare to find that kind of kindness these days. We look forward to booking with them again in the future.
We had a last minute stay here and had a great time. The lobby and room was very exceptionally clean and check in was less than 5 mins. In the morning we were greeted by Romika and she was so sweet and helpful. She made choosing our breakfast an easy process and her customer service skills are just absolutely perfect especially for this type of industry. A loft is lucky to have her part of their team. She went above and beyond to help me and my kids in the morning when we were tired. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area. Also I do want to mention that this is a pet friendly facility and we loved that as well!
