The Four Points by Sheraton Pleasanton offers a pleasant stay with attractive grounds and friendly staff, particularly praised for their service. However, guests have reported issues with cleanliness, outdated facilities, and inconsistent service, including long wait times for rooms and infrequent housekeeping. Recent renovations have improved the property’s appearance, but some concerns remain.

Besides the solid rooms and the gorgeous grounds of the hotel itself, it truly was the customer service from Connie and Shannon that made my stay an exceptional one. They consistently went above and beyond. Their professionalism, friendliness, knowledge, and pure vibe is the main reason when I come back, I won’t hesitate to stay here again. @chaserftd

I stayed at this location for four nights. I wanted to try a different Marriott hotel in the area and there was a bonvoy points bonus special. However, I will never stay at this location again and I'd possibly avoid all Four Points moving forward. It's worth paying a little extra for a more comfortable stay. Positives: Smooth check in process. Rooms were a nice, comfortable size. Sheets appeared clean. Cons: The tub was atrocious. I only used it twice because I couldn't bare standing in it again. Pix attached. The hallway and room had a stale, musty odor. Lighting was poor at the desk for working remotely. I brought the tub to the attention of the front desk at checkout and shared a picture of the tub at check-in/before first use. I was told: "We are aware of the issue." She said Marriott only sends them so much money for repairs. Seriously? With the "We are aware" response in an attitude that her explanation should justify or excuse away my experience was quite a turn off. I doubt this person would use s tub like this so why is it ok for your paying guests to?

Flew in to visit a family member at Stanford Health hospital. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. No food other than coffee in the lobby every morning. There is a third party restaurant. Mostly bar food but a relaxing atmosphere and great staff and service. TVs and kind of a sports bar vibe. Love the grounds. Courtyards, pool, geese. Very pleasant and relaxing. Seems to be a good, safe area. Decent convenience 200 feet away. Room was clean and comfortable. Only suggestion would be to keep the coffee urns in the lobby full all day. They are empty after 9:00-9:30 every day.

I've stayed at numerous hotels across the country and in other countries for both business and pleasure, yet I have only written one other positive review. This should tell you how impressed I was with this hotel. However, to make it fair, I will discuss both the good and the limitations (I'm not saying the bad because I didn't think it was bad; it was just the reality). The good: 1) The grounds are not only gorgeous, they are also very soothing and tranquil. 2) The little patio space each room had was really nice and a way to enjoy the grounds with some privacy. 3) Being able to open the door to the patio allowed you to get fresh air in the room, which was really, really nice given that a lot of hotel rooms these days have windows that don't open. 4) The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious; the beds were comfortable with more than enough pillows and coverings, all the conveniences in the room worked, and the Wi-Fi was free (we didn't use the TV, so I don't know what that was like). 5) The food at the attached bar/restaurant was good. 6) It was the most accommodating hotel I've stayed at in a very long time. We came from the East Coast, and not only did they let us check in considerably earlier than the stated time (which they said they will do if the room is available), they also let us check out really late (5 pm) since Expedia messed up the reservation. When I offered to pay for an additional day, like I normally have had to do, they refused to accept it. 6) They were honest. I thought the room was reasonably priced, yet they admitted that I probably got it for a better price via Expedia (or any other second-party site) than if I had paid for it there or on their website. The limitations: 1) There is no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs since we were on the second floor (which I would recommend asking for since it makes the patios even more private). However, they did offer to have someone help us with that. 2) The hotel consists of six buildings, which is very unusual and initially somewhat disorienting. We stayed in building 5, which took us about fifteen minutes to find, even with the directions they gave us (it probably didn't help that I had gotten 1 hour of sleep in 28 hours). 3) It is an older hotel, which means that it is not perfect. One of the flights of stairs up to our room was a little steep, yet the other wasn't. The ice machine was leaking on our floor and the soda machine was not working. However, there are several stores close by where you can buy drinks/snacks and placed in the fridge (this is what we normally do anyway). 4) The knob for the shower was somewhat difficult to turn, so it is better if you adjust the water temperature before getting into the shower. 5) There was only one light switch in the bathroom, which turned on both the light and the fan. This meant that you could not leave that light on for the night since you would have to listen to the fan all night (it was as loud as a normal bathroom fan). 5) The rooms were nice, yet only slightly above average. If you are looking for rooms that are luxurious and high-priced, this is not for you. Overall, I am just an average person who has stayed in over a hundred hotels for both business and pleasure; by myself, with a partner, or with children; and in hotels that were both extraordinarily luxurious and extraordinarily sleazy, yet the totality of everything about this hotel made it rank in the top five best hotels I’ve stayed in, and complied me to write this review. Even my seventeen-year-old really liked it, which coming from a teenager who didn’t get to use the pool and has traveled with me a lot, says a lot. I would highly recommend it. I hope this long review helped. Enjoy!!

The pool is heated which was nice, the housekeeper brought us towels immediately and the courtyard is beautiful. The only problem I had was that a housekeeper banged on our door and then opened it to come in at 9AM. Checkout is at 11AM and we had late checkout for 12PM. This was a huge safety concern as my 10 year old son was just coming out of the shower (he heard the knock & thought it might be me). When I called the front desk she just said “oh well sorry.” But other then that they stay was good.

DO NOT BOOK A HOTEL ROOM BLOCK HERE AND IT STINKS IN THERE. GO TO HYATT HOUSE INSTEAD. We initially chose Sheraton to get room blocks because Sheraton is known as a good hotel in any other location. A month before the date of check in, we were told that nobody booked the room blocks even though multiple people has confirmed that they booked it using their provided link. We then told them the names of people and number of rooms through email so they can add it. I thought that would have fixed the problem. The day of check-in, my family told me that they said that there was nobody on the room blocks and everyone's rooms were separated from each other (spread across multiple floors). They didnt offer or do anything to rectify the problem. It took them awhile to check people in and the place didn't smell appealing. It was such a waste of people's money and time to stay at this place.

I checked in about 8pm exhausted from long haul flights and carrying heavy luggage. "Sharon" at the desk - unfriendly, unhelpful and borderline moronically rude waves me out the door telling me i have "room 600" . Asking her to give me better directions as this place is huge and it was dark and i was tired she has a blank stare on her face and walks me to the pool and directs me another direction. There is no room 600. Which i infuriatingly found out. There is a building 600. The number of the room is written on a tag they hand you. Which i had to call the front desk to find out as i was in the middle of nowhere in the hotel area and was not walking back with 30 kilo suitcase. How is that so difficult to communicate? I asked 3 times if it was correct because she looked completely incompetent and acted it. Towels in my room were dirty and there was a used coffee cup in the coffee machine still. Gross. As a side note - Australian hotel staff are friendly, they help with luggage if needed AND they show you to your room happily if needed. Maybe you guys need to take some lessons in customer service. Do not come here.

Four Points by Sheraton Pleasanton is not friendly for persons with disabilities. Their ad does not express that the hotel is a two floor walk up. They only tell their guest once they have arrived. I arrived early and wanted to check in, they had a room available on the second floor. I obviously could not walk up the steps. They checked in numerous other guest while I waited 2.5 hours for a room. This would not had been an issue if anywhere they would have communicated they did not have an elevator, or if they had asked during reservation if the guest were able or willing to climb stairs so that appropriate accommodations could be held or made for the guest. The staff was incredibly rude, rolling their eyes and shrugging their shoulders at the fact that they did not have a room to accommodate a disabled person. They said they had until 3pm to find me a room, and it was still 3:30 before I was given a room. Once I received the room I really wish I had went somewhere else. The room smelled like mold or mildew. There was rust around the drain in the tub. Although the courtyard seemed very nice and fresh, the room was just the opposite. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I cared about.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON’T STAY HERE! We would not recommend this hotel, just choose another in the area. At first the price and photos looked really good. Then we got there and although the hotel said “pet friendly” and I checked for any fees we were surprised with a a $85 pet fee when we walked in the door, which is incredibly high. Then a $10 parking fee, which also wasn’t mentioned in the initial booking even though they have their own parking lot with plenty of parking. Then we got to our room and the bedding, floor and bathroom was dirty. The room also smelled like a hospice home. We both commented on how it smelled like old bodily fluids. The bedding was the worst so I went to the front desk and asked for new ones (I included pictures of the dirty and lumpy bedding). We did just end up staying the night even though we debated staying because it was one night and we got in fairly late. We are incredibly disappointed.

Four Points by Sheraton Pleasanton was a lovely property with incredible landscaping and an open layout. We found citrus trees, open grassy areas with trees for shade, a tiny pond, a stream that runs throughout, and a nice night's sleep after a very long drive. A water bottle was waiting in our room and it appeared clean and tidy as we would expect. ? We booked for 1 night, King Room with Pool View - Non-Smoking ? We paid $164.46 for the room plus ? $10 Parking Fee per Vehicle ?? The door leading out to the pool and private patio made this experience exceptional for being in a busy city! ? Photographic Landscaping ? We found the breakfast options to be less than. Coffee and tea with nothing for kids. A fruit basket. That was all! ?? We asked for hot chocolate or something for kids and was met with a request to pay $3 per packet of Cocoa then discretely offered it free if I met the associated around out back... ? never thought of hot cocoa as contraband ???? Overall we would visit again with the understanding that we are not paying for amenities just a room and maybe pool (if its open)
