The DoubleTree by Hilton Livermore receives mixed reviews, with some praising its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. However, a significant concern is recurring issues with room functionality (heating, key issues) and service inconsistencies, including lengthy check-in times, unhelpful staff, and lost property. Several guests reported problems with hot water, bugs, and a lack of responsiveness from hotel staff regarding lost items.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and will be going back in the future. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are quiet. During my last stay, the heat did not come on in the room, but when I went to the front desk to mention it, they immediately transferred me to another room. On the second night, my room key wasn't working and I went to the front desk to get a new key. The second one wasn't working either so I headed back to the front desk to get stopped by a maintenance person who asked about the lock, determined it needed a new battery and took care of it immediately for me without my having to go back to the front desk. This is why I have 5 stars for service!

Gave it a 1 star for excellent Hilton Bedding. Our room did not have hot water at all. Front desk said sorry and gave me managers card. I expected to get a credit or discount would not recommend anyone stay here. There is a Hamton Inn and Hikton Garden inn with 2 mi.

Hate to say this but- never staying at this particular Double Tree again. As a Hilton Gold Member who travels nationwide as a truck driver, I’ve always chosen Hilton because of its reliable service and genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, my recent check-in experience at this location didn’t meet those standards. After a 20-hour drive, I arrived hoping for a smooth and welcoming check-in. I had already texted the front office earlier that morning and received a very kind, professional response confirming that rooms were available for early check-in from a gentleman named Dyrell. However, when I arrived, the front desk associate ,brown curly hair female, who was working the front desk around 11am. 10/28/25, who assisted me was noticeably unwelcoming , she didn’t smile, avoided eye contact, and her tone and body language came across as irritated and dismissive. I tried my hardest to create a better “vibe” but she was just not giving any effort. What was the weirdest thing was how she gave off a demeanor like I was lying to her about texting through hilton honors! I had to over explain & pull out my phone to show her the text messages and she had the audacity to not fully look at my phone, still with the”you’re lying” tone & attitude- just very dismissive, disrespectful and rude. For a brand built on hospitality, that kind of demeanor sets a negative tone for tired guests who have been on the road for long hours.FYI- I came in with a smile and happy to be there so I know I didn’t give her any reason to be rude towards me. I strongly recommend that management provide additional customer service and hospitality training for front this particular front desk staff, especially in areas like communication, empathy, and first impressions. Even a brief moment of kindness can completely change a guest’s experience after a long journey. The front desk sets the standard for the entire hotel, and guests should always feel valued and respected from the moment they walk in. I’m leaving this feedback in hopes that it helps improve team awareness and ensures that every traveler, especially those arriving exhausted after long hours, receives the level of warmth and professionalism Hilton is known for. We checked out after a few hours rest and just checked into another hotel. Checking this hotel off my return list.

When I was waiting at checkin there are no staff over there! I was waiting for about 10 mins. None of the staff are nice only housekeepers are saying hi to clients…. Sorry to say that but yes! In my room there are many bugs in bathroom! As I’m gold member with hiltons honors! The only good thing is cookies!

It’s really a shame that I have to add this review today. I have been a very long time and loyal Hilton honors member. I currently have gold status and it’s sad for me to say that I will never again stay at this Doubletree by Hilton in Livermore California. To be honest, my stay was fine, room was exactly what I expected, which is why I stay with Hilton properties. The fitness center was a little weak, but hey, I was able to get my workout on. Went back to my room ate dinner, did some work and crashed out. This morning, in a rush, I happened to leave my JBL headphones Behind on my bed. I know they were there because I set them right next to my bag when I got in the shower. It didn’t click to me until I was leaving work, that I may have forgotten to stick them inside of my bag. I checked my bag and sure enough they’re not there so I called the Hilton. I told the guy that answered the phone that I had left my headphones on the bed in my room. He took my room number and told me he would call me back. I then asked him. Hey how long do you think it would take? I’m only asking because I’m about an hour away and I’m passing right by you on my way back home. He said I’ll probably 20 minutes or so, I need to get with housekeeping because they have their own lost and found. I said OK. Fast-forward 45 minutes. I still haven’t heard anything so I called and the same gentleman answers the phone. I asked him if anyone had gotten a chance to check for my headphones so I could grab them on my way by and he said oh yeah I was gonna call you in a little while but sorry nobody found them. Zero care or concern in his voice. I told him I assuredly had left them on my bed and it was really ashame that I could no longer trust the Hilton and I would never again stay at their location. All he said was I’m sorry. This is absolutely terrible customer service. In a world where everybody should be fighting for every dollar you can get It’s sad. Very clear to me that room service stole my headphones and I am not happy about it. Rest in peace Hilton Livermore. I hope someone who needed those more than me got them.

Disappointed by Misleading Information I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this DoubleTree by Hilton in Livermore. Before booking, I called specifically to confirm that the pool was open, as it was an important part of our stay during labor day weekend. The DoubleTree by Hilton in Livermore representative assured me the pool was working and open from 6am to 5pm. However, when we arrived, there was a sign stating the pool was closed and had been for some time. By then, it was too late to cancel the reservation and find another hotel. There was no notice on the Hilton website or app indicating the pool was out of service, which added to the frustration. I feel misled and disappointed that accurate information was not provided upfront.

The best part about this hotel is the food. Outstanding cook and service in the restaurant. Other than that, I would encourage others to avoid this hotel at all costs. In our first room, the safe was broken, the door unusable for digital key, and the sink was backed up. When maintenance was called, nothing could be done about these three issues, so we moved to another room. In this room, we experienced no hot water (the entire hotel was impacted) and a backed up toilet. The final reason I wouldn't stay here was the unhelpful cleaning staff. When I left Room #1, I left behind my glasses. I was not allowed to go into the room until after the cleaning crew came in. Once I was allowed to enter, the glasses were gone. This last experience was the icing on the cake. Do NOT stay at this hotel . . .

When I checked in the first room I got was dirty, had towels on the floor and a crate of White Claw. I actually thought I was about to walk in on someone. You're supposed to get cookies at Doubletrees, right? I had to ask for them and the concierge gal made me feel weird about it. But my real beef with this hotel is after I checked out. They didn't refund my security deposit. I called 3 weeks later when I was reviewing my business expenses and saw I had two charges. And the deposit was clearly not deducted from my final bill. The first gal I spoke to was nice and explained they switched software. She put the deposit for release. Well, after a few weeks it still didn't come. I sent an email to their address listed on the site but got a bounce back for it being full...so I called. The second gal was unhelpful and acted like I was lying. She asked who I spoke to, like I would remember that person's name 4 weeks later...she gave me an employee's email address and said he would follow up. He didn't. I called the next day and she said they don't see the charge in the system. I shared screenshots of my Chase account showing the two charges and my receipt. Eventually I just disputed it with Chase. They resolved it in less than 24 hours with a refund. The hotel itself is fine but really NOT impressed with the customer service. I've let my coworkers know to stay elsewhere for our future trips to Livermore.

Some of the other reviews I'd read online made me unsure, but this hotel is solid. I was worried about the traffic noise from the 580, but the windows seem to be noise insulating - I never heard any of the highway noise @ night. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the cleaning lady did a great job. We would absolutely return here.

Feel I'm rating fairly generously! Arrival went well received well, thank you Armando. Overall not to impressed due to understaffing: breakfast wait time long, over twenty minutes...1 person serving, food not really appetizing, classic breakfast and Denver omelette, bacon uneatable. Coffee was good though. First day was a hot day, walk in to hotel hallways musty, felt like an indoor pool pavilion, and an uncomfortable temperature, warm. Room ok only due to beds being comfortable, bathroom small very uncomfortable. For being a room with two queen beds just uncomfortable, very cramped, and forget the bathroom space. The stay felt auster not a welcoming feeling. The days of getting away for a weekend, feeling taken care of are gone, seem more dreadfull anymore at most levels except top tier 5 Star hotels. Like I've seen people post about get aways, can't wait to go home. The Pleasanton DoubleTree nicer on our last trip, made a mistake selecting Livermore. For being a Hilton brand a bit disappointed.
